Little More
About Us.
We are a Central Florida family who does what we can to help out local cats and kittens in Central Florida. We have fostered almost 100 cats and kittens since we started in 2019.
Our Story
In 2019, we rescued and fostered 3 little kittens born in a homeless camp… & almost 100 kittens later, here we are!
Our first three kittens showed up dirty, hungry, and full of fleas from a homeless encampment in the woods off Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, Florida. They were handed to us in a very small and very dirty cat carrier and they just begged us to make sure these kittens survived. We took them in and hoped for the best. We then found out they had mange, which explained their scabby ears and bald spots. We worked closely with Live To Purr Another Day Rescue, who coached us, provided us meds, and eventually helped us find adopters for these babies! While we had these first kittens, the kitten that is the inspiration for our logo showed up!
He was found by a homeless woman near Orange Blossom Trail. She saw a lifeless orange furry shape in the middle of the road in a rainstorm at night. She was a cat lover, so went to remove the kitten (that she was sure was dead) from the road. When she touched him, he breathed. She got on a bus and brought the kitten to us. We found out he had only one eye and had eyelid agenesis on his other eye. This means he was born with no eyelids. Five years later and many surgeries later, Peanut is one of 5 cats who permanently live with us and he’s the best “Uncle Peanut” to our foster kittens. View a video of Peanut’s story here.
